1. How big are your stockings?
Our stockings measure approximately 7" wide and 21.5" long. Other details about our stockings are available if you click on the stocking design you are interested in.
2. Are your stockings lined?
No. Our stockings are not lined and heres why: We take special care to knit in longer floats or strands inside of each stocking to minimize snagging when the stockings are filled with goodies. In addition, because of the nature of wool fibers, the short strands will latch on to the inside of the stocking with use over time.
3. How long will it take to receive my stocking order?
We take great pains to offer premium service to our customers. All orders are processed immediately. How long it takes to receive your stocking order will vary depending on the time of year an order is placed (from Order date to Received date):
January 1 - June 30: Receive stockings in 2 weeks or less*
July 1 - Nov. 15: Receive stockings in 10 days or less*
Nov. 16 - Dec. 20th (last day to order): 6 days or less*
*All of these turn-around times are based on USPS Priority Mail which we use to insure minimal delays in actual shipping time. You can refer to our Shipping link on the bottom of each web page for more information.
NOTE: To speed delivery times, USPS Express Service is an option available to you at check-out. Your order will then be our top priority so we can rush it to you.
4. Do you knit custom Christmas stockings?
Sorry, we do not knit custom Christmas stockings. We will accommodate any requests to have the name placed on the stocking so that the toe points to the LEFT but that is the only request we honor. This request will have to be handled personally by phone (715-479-7185). We will be happy to make that notation on your order.
5. Can you do longer names with more than 10 letters such as CHRISTOPHER?
Yes, often we can. It will depend upon how many letters are in a name but we use an upper/lower case font (example: Christopher) instead of the block lettering. Our focus is on making sure the name fits well on the stocking to maintain its integrity. Each request will be evaluated separately. 6. Do you offer any discounts on quantities ordered?
No. At this time we do not offer any quantity discounts. We feel that the price is set fairly for the hand-crafted quality of our Christmas stockings and we have not raised our prices in 3 years despite the increase in our costs.
7. Do you take International orders?
Yes we do! NEW this year is secure online ordering for International orders! The deadline for ordering internationally is Nov. 30th. Please email (anniwool@annieswoolens.com) if you have any questions.
8. How do I care for my Christmas stockings?
It is best to store your stockings in the plastic bags they came in while not in use. To clean, hand wash in cold water and mild soap and dry flat OR have professionally dry-cleaned letting your dry cleaner know that the stockings are 100% wool.
9. Where are your stockings made?
In the U.S.A.! Our stockings are made on our premises in Eagle River, Wisconsin.
